YRC Freight Technical Support Specialist II in Overland Park, Kansas
Computer Operations position responsible for providing second level support for technology infrastructure. Job entails daily mainframe and open systems' computer operations monitoring and interaction. Acts as an advocate for the customer ensuring proper focus is maintained and attention brought to customer needs. Utilizes effective communication and basic technical skills to ensure timely and effective implementation and resolution of issues and requests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Fulfill customer IT service requests
Handles IT issues and problems with minimal assistance
Demonstrates basic knowledge of key business processes
Provides support for deployed technologies, systems, and processes*

High school diploma or equivalent
Help desk experience
TSO, ISPF, and JCL.
Demonstrates knowledge of customer service responsibilities
Computer related knowledge
Some college preferred
Mainframe computer console experience
This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
