YRC Freight Business Intelligence Analyst II-Overland Park, KS in Overland Park, Kansas
This role will work within a customer-focused team to provide solutions and services for YRCW’s third-party logistics (3PL) customer base. This role is part of a cross-functional team consisting of customer account management, customer service, operations/logistics, pricing and technology team members. Together the team will:
Analyze customer data files for freight optimization events.
Locate and assist in defining new process improvement opportunities.
Support creation of Customer quarterly business review (QBR) decks and monthly reports utilizing Microsoft Power BI.
Work closely with Pricing Analyst(s) to complete customers RFPs (Requests For Proposals) and Customer-Specific Negotiated Increases (CSNIs) in pricing.
Grow overall services for existing and new customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Intermediate level understanding of the operating capabilities and capacities of the YRCW Operating Companies (YRC Freight, Holland, Reddaway, New Penn).
Intermediate level understanding of the YRCW Operating Companies’ IT systems as sources of operations data.
Analyze and understand the business shipment characteristics and patterns of customers.
Analyze logistics processes and systems, compile data and provide statistical analysis on shipment volumes, lanes, on-time service, and cost.
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports.
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in data sets.
Filter and “clean” data, and review report integrity.
Report data file issues to be fixed by database administrator.
Work with the team to design new and improved services for YRCW 3PL customers.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS* *
Bachelor's degree in a related field; two (2) to four (4) years’ experience in a similar, business and data analytics role.
Prior experience with data analytics, transformation and reporting tools.
Industry experience: transportation or 3PL industry knowledge is preferred; other relevant industry experience would include manufacturing, retail, or industrial distribution.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with all levels of management.
Prefer experience with Microsoft tools (PowerBI, Excel, SSIS, SSRS).
Preferred degrees include Logistics, Supply Chain, and Business Data Analytics.
This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
