YRC Freight Workers Comp Risk Analyst II in Overland Park, Kansas
The Risk Analyst II will identify claims with subrogation possibilities and seek reimbursement or payments for subrogation employees. Work directly with insurance companies to file liability claims for reimbursement. Seek payment from responsible parties for worker’s compensation claims.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with insurance companies as well as attorneys on potential claims to secure reimbursement for
Develop new information by analyzing financial, actuarial, claim, matter and other data to report the status of subrogation activities.
Develop measurement and monitoring systems to track results.
Use the analyzed trends and issues to work with the legal team to solve complex business opportunities.
Direct administrative staff on assignment, case updates, data integrity fixes and case data completion prior to close.
Coordinate the communication flow to facilitate the accurate and timely flow of information to multiple departments.
Develop ad hoc reports to support information requests and participate in special projects and analysis as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational background or work experience.
Two (2) years of experience as a subrogation claims examiner.
Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated problem solving and analytical abilities.
Working knowledge of workers’ compensation and liability claims
Proven experience in negotiations.
Experience using MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, and Excel).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS* *
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
Familiarity with risk management information systems
Demonstrate good project management skills
This job operates in a professional office environment indoors. Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
The position requires the ability to spend long hours sitting or standing while using office equipment and computers. Ability to perform repetitive tasks such as typing and keying. Occasional lifting, pushing/pulling, carrying 10 lbs of supplies and materials is required.
